"Web Books Publishing" is located in Los Angeles, California. A few years ago, we were one of the first to publish a large number of ebooks in the EPUB format. Recently, however, we believe that the technology has changed. The EPUB format is no longer a good ebook format. Instead, we favor the Web format, which is dramatically simpler.

We have developed a Web Books Viewer that can read both EPUB and Web formats. The Viewer is a Web application, like Amazon's Cloud Reader. It takes advantage of new features in HTML5, which has not been fully implemented in most browsers yet. In the near future, as more HTML5 features are available in more browsers, the advantages of the browser-based ebook viewer (reader) will become more obvious. For browser-based ebook viewers, the Web format is superior to the EPUB format.

In the coming months, we'll continue to develop the best ebook viewer and provide an entirely new platform for selling Web Books. Instead of the traditional royalty model, we will use the marketplace model. This means that sellers (authors, publishers or other copyright holders) can get earnings as soon as the buyer paid. No more waiting for monthly or quarterly payment from online retailers. Our platform can also let anyone easily promote the books listed on our website and receive 10% of the sale price.
