Help Upload Publishing

We use a single page to handle all kinds of documents you may upload. The names of the uploaded files are important for our platform to responde correctly. These file names are case-sensitive.

You Have Created an EPUB Ebook

If you have made an EPUB ebook without using our platform, you need to upload only two files: (1) the ebook file with .epub extension, (2) the cover image of the ebook for making its thumbnail. The cover image file must be named "thumbnail" with the extension of ".jpg", ".png", or ".gif". The .epub file may have any name. After uploaded, it will be renamed on the basis of the ebook title.

You Have Created open.html

As mentioned on this page, to convert Microsoft Word into EPUB, you need to use OpenOffice to convert Word into HTML document first. In this case, you need to upload only two files if your book contains no images other than the cover image:

  1. open.html: the OpenOffice-generated HTML document from Microsoft Word or from its own OpenDocument Text.
  2. cover image, which must be named "cover" with the extension of ".jpg", ".png", ".gif", or ".svg". The dimension of the cover image is suggested to be around 400x500.

The uploaded open.html will be immediately separated into several smaller files and placed in the OPS folder. When you upload open.html again, all old files in the OPS folder will be erased and new files will be generated. You may revise open.html and upload it as many times as you like.

If your book contains images other than the cover image, you will need to upload these image files (details will be given shortly).
