Membrane Attached Proteins

Membrane-attached proteins can be divided into three groups:

  • bound to the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane by myristate;
  • bound to the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane by farnesyl;
  • bound to the extracelluar face of the plasma membrane by glycosylphosphatidylinositol.
